History of King Acre
King Acre Landscaping Centre was established in 1999. The innovative idea of Bowland Stone’s then managing director, Paul Elston.
Paul had a very big vision to start a franchised business in landscaping centres. So, the big idea, to utilise redundant outdoor areas at well-established garden centres. Providing a ‘ready-made’ business to willing franchisee’s.
Hard landscaping is an area garden centres shy away from. It requires staff specifically trained in the area.
Introducing a King Acre franchise attracted new customers. By the addition of high quality landscaping supplies Clear point of sale material, product specific marketing campaigns and our knowledgeable staff is also a factor.
We have the full support of Bowland Stone. Stocking a variety of their paving and aggregates.
Codicote King Acre was set up in 2003 within the grounds of Wyevale Garden Centre. It is now a well established brand amongst landscapers and local residents with Phipps Stone Centre.
Phipps stone Centre is an all-round builders merchant trading since the 1950’s.
